This paper discusses how sociologists study various religions. The religion chosen for this study is the Pentecostal movement. The Pentecostal movement started in Topeka, Kansas and in Los Angeles, California. The Pentecostal religion is different from most protestant beliefs due to the belief of speaking in tongues. The paper shows that the faith is based on the first two chapters of Acts.
