Kelly's Proposal for Non-Violent Social Defense: A Critical Review
This four page graduate paper examines peace activist Petra Kellys opinions on non-violence and social defense, and discusses the viability of her proposals. The author notes that Petra Kelly should continue to tirelessly advocate peace, justice, and non-violence, for such advocacy is needed now more than ever before. But the author also considers it necessary to reflect upon history and take into account that non-violence can only succeed when everyone agrees to abide by its principals. When the victims of violence forego it while their victimizers indulge in it, conquest, oppression, and genocide are the results.
