This paper encompasses a discussion of laboratory information systems. More specifically the discussion examines ways in which to enhance a laboratory through the use of Laboratory Management Systems. The Water Millennium Liquid Chromatography software system is presented. In the discussion on this software the ways in which it can improve the accuracy, productivity and security of laboratory data is investigated.
