Reducing Health Care Costs Relating to Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
This research proposal will address the cost-effectiveness and the costs and success rates of alternate types of treatment. While there is a general consensus that successful treatment is economically viable when compared to the costs of continued addiction, there is little consensus as to which types of treatment are most efficacious. The following proposal outlines a method of comparing the cost-effectiveness of cognitive therapy as an outpatient treatment and as an inpatient treatment. 10 pgs. 9 f/c. 20b.
