This paper shall draw some parallels between literary themes that exist in Alice Walkers Everyday Use and Amy Tans A Pair of Tickets. Primarily the paper will argue that stories are similar in a common theme. Both authors play with and examine the conflict that occurs within an individual who is caught between two cultures and consequently is unable to identify with either of them.
