This paper addresses six different issues concerning analysis of different views concerning workplace diversity. W.E.B. Dublois is discussed-a brilliant and well-educated man that was a fierce and radical civil rights advocate. The term, "melting pot," certainly sounds altruistic. Many ethnic backgrounds have come together to form one nation. In a way, Schlesinger is echoing what Emerson said much earlier regarding American society.
