Film: Soviet Propaganda and Historical Perspectives in The Fall of Berlin by Michail Chiaureli
This paper will present a film analysis of soviet propaganda and historical perspectives in The Fall of Berlin by Michail Chiaureli. In understanding Stalin's war propaganda machine that evolved after World War II, we can see why history is warped by the Soviet nationalism that sought to distort Stalin's real character. Although this film does tell some historical facts, we can see the power of filmmaking to raise nationalism to unrealistic levels of historical presentation.
