Jacobs, Rowson and the Sexual Exploitation of Women.
Harriet Jacobs' narrative in "Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl" and Susanna Rowson's "Charlotte Temple" both reveal that, in very different ways, how patriarchy sets the foundation for the sexual exploitation of women.
