This ten-page paper presents a look at the negative impact of tourism on natural areas. The author focuses on caves using several caves including the Oregon National Caves, Carlsbad, the caves of France and the Kartchner Caverns in Arizona as examples. The negative impacts are discussed at length as well as some of the positive sides to using the natural settings as tourist attractions. The author also touches on the area of preservation and allows a discussion about what is being done to prevent erosion. There where four sources used to complete this paper. 10 pgs.
