This paper analyzes Parallel Distributed Architecture, or methods of linking many computers into a network to act in parallel to perform tasks, handle data, communicate with one another, and so on, with the result being a supercomputer at a much lower cost, and considering new methods of designing both hardware and software for such systems as new applications are also being found for these systems.
