Leave-Taking: Analyzing the Monumental Subtleties of Our Culture
Within this paper, I begin by offering a personal account of my difficulties understanding how to successfully leave a conversation. I then introduce my thesis which is followed by a general analysis of the concept 'leave-taking' itself. Afterwards, I provide specific examples of leave-taking in order to analyze the concept more thoroughly. In my conclusion, I mention that no matter how worried I am about appropriate methods of leave-taking, I can always turn to Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" for moral support.
