This paper explores "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin" in respect to traits, which embody the term "American." Through identifying Franklin's young work and social experiences (Chapters 5 & 6), the values of America are seen in his work ethic, his focus on ingenuity, his social relationships, and his growing district of those in the ruling class of politics.
